The Team
Wayde Christie - Creative Director
Wayde is the pixel-pusher/Creative Director at Newism. He has been designing and developing websites, blogs and rich media since 1998, after a brief stint in the print industry.
After cutting his teeth at several premier Sydney web agencies, he made the leap to freelance in 2006. In ‘07 he convinced Leevi Graham to combine forces, and shortly thereafter Newism was formed.
When Wayde is away from his 24” iMac, he is either spending time with his two wonderful daughters, or composing another face-melting guitar solo.
Leevi Graham - Technical Director
Leevi is the Technical Director and one of the founding partners at Newism. It’s his responsibility to ensure that every website, CMS and blog Newism produces runs as fast and as smooth as possible before it hits the web.
A huge fan of open-source software and ExpressionEngine, Leevi has published over 20 ExpressionEngine extensions, modules and plugins, most of which have been gifted back to the community through Creative Commons licensing.
In 2007 while travelling and working in Europe he attended many Multipack meetups, a concept he bought back to Australia where he started Bits & Pixels.
In 2005 Leevi graduated fom Newcastle University with a B. Visual Communication (Graphic Design), which means he also speaks in vivid colour, grids and typography – not just beeps and blips.
Anthony Short - Web Designer / Developer
Anthony is the newest addition to the Newism team. He has just finished a degree in Visual Communication at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and has a keen interest in the web. He works with interface design, front-end development and ExpressionEngine.
